Hello, welcome to my tiny pottery empire based just outside London. I’m Joelle, clay wrangler and former professional opera singer, and I’m thrilled you’re here. I make decorative and occasionally functional stoneware pieces using a combination of hand building and wheel thrown, more often than not with a face and always from my imagination. Much of my work is figurative and informed by the natural quality and texture of different clay bodies, combining various decorative mediums and simple mark making.

 

My work seeks to cherish and celebrate the absurd and I hope that it can shine a little glimmer of joy and playfulness into the world.
